I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Carleton College (MN, USA) specializing in economic development. Before moving to Illinois, USA, to complete my undergraduate and graduate work at Northwestern University, I lived for fifteen years in Dhaka, Bangladesh. I am a father of two wonderful boys, Wali and Rafael. In my free time, I like to play cricket, soccer, ping pong, and badminton. I am also a very happy happiness economist!
